Question 1

When should my athlete start the recruiting process?

Accepted Answer

Earlier than most families think. Division I coaches actively evaluate freshman and sophomore film. Your athlete should have a profile live by 9th grade. The free tier gets you visible immediately with no pressure to upgrade until you're ready.

Question 2

What's the difference between D1, D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO?

Accepted Answer

Division determines scholarship money, competition level, and time commitment. D1 = full athletic scholarships, highest competition. D2 = partial scholarships, strong competition. D3 = no athletic scholarships (academic money available), still competitive. NAIA = scholarships, less restrictive rules. JUCO = 2-year college, often the fastest path to a D1 scholarship for late bloomers.

Question 3

Can coaches contact my athlete directly, or do we reach out first?

Accepted Answer

NCAA rules restrict when coaches can initiate contact. Before a certain grade level, athletes must reach out first. Our platform builds your outreach cadence around NCAA contact rules so you're always in compliance and never miss a window.

Question 4

How do I know if a coach is actually interested or just collecting profiles?

Accepted Answer

Our engagement tracking shows you who opens your emails, views your profile, and watches your film — and how many times. Our AI Interest Level scoring reads these signals and tells you where you actually stand.

Question 5

Is a $29/month service actually as good as a $4,200 recruiting package?

Accepted Answer

Better. Premium legacy tiers give you a human recruiting coach who manages dozens of athletes simultaneously. Our AI works exclusively on your athlete's profile, generates better personalized outreach, and is available 24/7. The price difference isn't about quality — it's about business model.

Question 6

What if my athlete doesn't get a D1 offer — is this still worth it?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Most college athletes play at D2, D3, NAIA, or JUCO — and many receive significant scholarship money. Our platform covers all divisions equally and our AI will always match your athlete to the best realistic fit, not just the most prestigious school.

Question 7

How does scholarship negotiation actually work?

Accepted Answer

Most families accept the first offer. They shouldn't. Coaches often have flexibility — especially when they know you have competing interest. Our negotiation AI gives you the exact language to use, the right timing, and how to leverage competing schools. Most families who negotiate improve their offer by $2,000–$15,000.

Question 8

What is NIL and can high school athletes use it?

Accepted Answer

NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) applies to college athletes under NCAA jurisdiction; many states also allow high-school NIL with parental consent. Planning your NIL strategy before you commit helps you choose schools with active NIL collectives, negotiate as part of your recruiting conversation, and arrive ready to monetize your brand from day one.
